California Plein Air Colorist

Promise of Spring, 24 x36 (1st Place, Slopes of Diablo, 2007) Valley Art Gallery, Sold

Late afternoon, the mountain rears up luminous blue, molded with pink highlights - vibrant with the changing combinations of color. Each season brings me a new source of inspiration. A coyote crosses in front of me as I paint in his hunting path; I am very still. A Golden Eagle swooped down not far from me to capture a rabbit, and I've been told that a mountain lion has been spotted here surveying her territory. The drama of nature feeds my soul.

I am fortunate living in California. I can paint the compelling landscape en plein air 12 months out of the year. I hope you find joy and discovery in my images.
