Pastels
Painting with Pastel: Painting with pure pastel color pigments enlivens my approach to oil painting. One medium enhances the other. The pastel pigments allow an infinite spectrum of vibrant color and also lend themselves to the subtle shades of landscapes such as soft early morning light. The clean color gives depth and strong contrast in portraits or in scenes such as colorful Mexican Villages. I often use the medium to complement my sketches of urban and city scenes. All pastels are painted on museum quality Wallis paper, matted in ivory, and framed in gold with non-glare glass.
